The School of Business, East China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) offers programs in different levels of degree, undergraduate (bachelor), postgraduate (master), and doctorate (PhD). There are two kinds of Master’s programs, academic program and professional Master’s programs (MBA, MPAcc, MEM).
The Master of Management (in Business Administration) develops the leaders of the future, who must be able to empower others and to facilitate teamwork in diverse groups, to recognize and adapt to the constraints and opportunities of a global economy, and to accommodate the ethical and societal needs of the environment within which the organization functions.
The duration of the Program is 3 years (full time) in general with a maximum period of 5 years. The total minimum credit required by the ECUST Graduate School is for 33 Credits.

Students must successfully complete a minimum of 33 credits. Of these, at least 21 credits must be from management foundation courses, a minimum of 4 credits must be from Chinese Context courses, and at least 8 credits can be elective courses.
Course Retake: Students who fail a course may apply to the Teaching Administration Department for permission to retake the examination during the same intake session. If a student fails the retake exam and accumulates more than 4 failed credits in management foundation courses, withdrawal from the program will be considered.

Midterm Evaluation (3rd Semester)Complete all required course credits prior to the evaluation.

Submit two literature reviews and pass experimental skill tests.Defend a thesis proposal, including a literature review and research plan.

PublicationComply with the requirements set by the Academic Degree Committee.

Thesis & DefenseWrite and defend a thesis (Chinese or English accepted). The thesis must demonstrate research competence and adhere to intellectual property regulations.

Degree AwardDegree approval follows China's Interim Degree Regulations and the guidelines set by ECUST.
- 1 . Proof of English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL score of 80, IELTS score of 6.0, or Duolingo score of 105, or evidence of prior education in English.
- 2 . Applicants without language scores may submit provisional applications and must provide proof of Chinese proficiency to receive the final admission offer.
- 3 . Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or higher academic qualifications.
- 4 . No criminal record and in good physical and mental health.
- 5 . Must be 18 years of age or older.
1. Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS)
Type A: Bilateral Program / ASEAN-China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) / EU Program / AUN Program / China-Africa Friendship Program, etc.
Steps to Apply:
Step 1: Apply to the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country for CGS opportunities.
Step 2: Contact the College of International Education to obtain a Pre-Admission Notice.
Step 3: Visit the CGS Information Management System for International Students, submit your online application, and select East China University of Science and Technology as the application institution.
Step 4: Submit all your application documents to the dispatching authorities before the deadline and download the application form.
Type B: High-level Postgraduate Program / Belt and Road Program, etc.

Visit the CGS Information Management System for International Students to submit your online application.
Use the agency number 10251 for East China University of Science and Technology when applying.
Download the application form after submitting your online application.
2. Shanghai Government Scholarship (SGS)
check the box in ECUST application system when applying, no further action required.
* Please refer to the CGS official website and the notice from your home country’s local international student dispatch department which is in charge of CGS opportunity, to learn more about application details and requirements of CGS-Type A.
* The information of CGS-Type B, SGS will be notified separately.
No need for acceptance letter.

Pay the application fee of 600 CNY
Note: Your application will be considered invalid if the application fee is not paid.
