Graduate students should first collect relevant literature and conduct field research to grasp the forefront of the discipline and respect intellectual property rights in literature. Based on this, they should write a literature review and then prepare a thesis proposal. They must present and defend their proposal publicly as arranged by the School. Only those who pass the review can proceed with the thesis (practice achievements) writing. 2. Mid-term Inspection: The mid-term inspection is scheduled at the end of the second semester or the beginning of the third semester and is organized by the School. 3. Course study must be completed and the corresponding credits obtained before the mid-term inspection. 4. Within the specified time, graduate students should fill in the "Mid-term Inspection Form." The inspection includes course credits and grades, ideological performance, participation in academic activities, and the thesis proposal.

They should be able to employ scientific research methods such as case study, research statistics, and econometric regression, and use relevant scientific computing software, as well as rich international business and investment economic data and factual observations, to conduct in-depth analysis and verification to support the scientific nature of the research and the credibility of the conclusions. The research results of the thesis (practice achievements) should have reference value and guiding significance for solving international business problems in the real world. The thesis (practice achievements) must be independently completed by the student. The thesis can be a study on a special topic, case analysis, research report, etc. It is encouraged to use empirical and statistical comparative data analysis methods to enhance the scientific nature of the research. The thesis should have a novel topic, clear concepts, well-supported arguments, rigorous analysis, reliable data, concise language, clear charts, well-organized structure, and a standardized format. It should reflect the graduate student's solid professional theoretical foundation, strong independent working ability, and excellent academic style. The intellectual property rights of the work content and achievements of the professional degree master's thesis (practice achievements) belong to East China University of Science and Technology. In cases of joint program with external units or joint research, the ownership of intellectual property rights shall be determined according to the cooperation agreement. The thesis writing format should follow the "Unified Requirements for Graduate Thesis Writing Format" of East China University of Science and Technology.

Graduate students who have completed course study and thesis (practice achievements), and whose thesis has been reviewed by the tutor or tutor group and deemed to meet the requirements for a master's thesis (practice achievements), may proceed with thesis review and defense. The review, defense, and degree application and awarding of the thesis (practice achievements) shall be conducted in accordance with the documents of "Degree Law of the People's Republic of China," the "Implementation Measures for Degree Awarding at East China University of Science and Technology," and the "Regulations on Anonymous Review of Graduate Thesis (practice achievements) at East China University of Science and Technology."
