On June 10, ECUST organized an off-campus outing for international students to visit METAI HUB·AI Application Store, allowing them to experience cutting-edge AI technology and its innovative charm up close.
METAI HUB·AI Application Store hosts over 500 AI products from more than 100 brands. It brings AI technology into the physical world for public experience and use, marking the popularization of AI beyond laboratories and online platforms. The students interacted with intelligent robots and experienced AI musical instruments, smart AR glasses and other devices to see how technology improves daily life.
At Lenovo Future Center, a demonstrator showcased intelligent robotic arms and industrial -grade quadruped robots. The robotic arm boosts productivity by handling repetitive work, while robot dogs perform autonomous factory inspections and cargo handling, helping students fully recognize the practical value of AI technology.
In hands-on sessions, international students operated a robotic arm and tried VR projects, gaining immersive experiences with smart technology.
This science and innovation study tour helped international students step out of classrooms, access frontier technologies, and witness the innovation vitality of China’s AI industry while broadening their scientific horizons. ECUST will continue to build diverse sci-tech practice platforms for Chinese and international students to explore technological innovation and empower their growth in the intelligent era.
