As part of the JMD Global Competence Course (GCC), the College of International Education (CIE) at ECUST recently organized a corporate visit to ROX Motor’s Shanghai headquarters. 45 international students from 18 countries took part in the event, which fell under the "Enterprise Connection and Career Development" module of the Second Classroom Initiative. The goal was to connect classroom learning with real-world industry experience.

About ROX Motor
ROX Motor is a global luxury automotive company specializing in all-terrain, intelligent new-energy SUVs built for outdoor adventures. Since its founding, the company has expanded to over 40 countries, with a focus on high-potential emerging markets like the Middle East and Central Asia. ROX has built a complete overseas system that covers product development, marketing, sales, and manufacturing.

The Visit
A cross-functional team from ROX Motor gave students and staff a warm welcome. The visit began with a presentation by Lambert, Senior Manager of Overseas Dealer Sales (Middle East). He introduced ROX's company history, global strategy, and overseas market expansion.

Students were then divided into two groups. One group toured the office walls with Daizy from Brand PR, who explained the company's key milestones and brand vision and showed students around the office space.

The other group went to the yard for a live showcase of ROX Adamas SUVs, led by Design Director Alex, Interior Creative Austin, and Product Designer Shali Feng. Some students even had the chance to ride as passengers during a test drive, with ROX staff at the wheel. The two groups then switched activities, ensuring that the whole cohort got a complete experience.

The visit wrapped up with afternoon tea and lively networking between ROX staff and students. Each student received a tote bag, key chain, and company pamphlet. ROX Motor also presented ECUST with exquisite car models of ROX Adamas for display.

This immersive tour gave international students a firsthand look at an innovative Chinese automaker's operations and culture. Moving forward, ECUST CIE will continue partnering with industry leaders to offer practical learning platforms that nurture globally competent talent.
