On January 26, ECUST held a semester summary meeting for the Joint Multi-Degree Program (JMD) for the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. Vice President Prof. Zhu Weihong attended and addressed the meeting, which was chaired by Mr. Li Xiaopeng, Dean of the College of International Education. Attendees included heads and faculty representatives from relevant department and schools.

Prof. Zhu Weihong fully affirmed the positive outcomes achieved since the launch of innovative Joint Multi-Degree Program. So far, the program has enrolled a total of 175 students from 39 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates, making tangible progress in serving national strategies and advancing the ECUST’s global influence. 


Following a comprehensive review of the program’s progress, representatives from the Academic Affairs Office and various schools examined key areas such as teaching resources, student management, and curriculum enrichment. Their discussions outlined concrete steps to strengthen cross-departmental coordination and full support for the program’s innovative development.

The program will further advance through various perspectives including curriculum innovation, polished academic standards, and rigorous student management, with all departments collaborating to improve program quality and efficiency. The joint effort aims to solidify the reputation of the JMD program and the “Study at ECUST” brand.


The meeting systematically summarized phased achievements of the JMD program, clarifying the foundation and direction for its future development. ECUST’s College of International Education and the concerned departments and schools will keep providing strong support for cultivating high-level international talents with a global perspective and an unrivaled theory-practice combined study experience.
