On July 13, the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 International Student Summer Camp was successfully held at ECUST’s Xuhui Campus. Organized by the College of International Education, the event welcomed over 200 international students from more than 30 countries and regions to embark on an inspiring journey featuring cutting-edge technology, Chinese cultural experiences, and the exploration of Shanghai.

Dean Li Xiaopeng of the College of International Education extended a warm welcome to all participants, outlining the university's international education achievements and the arrangements for this year's summer programs. He expressed his hope that students from diverse backgrounds would strengthen mutual learning, foster friendships, and grow through study and practice.

Following his remarks, representatives from faculty, students, and partners shared their aspirations. A special highlight was a dynamic robot dance performance, which earned enthusiastic applause and showcased the vitality of China's technological innovation.


This year's International Summer Camp consists of six featured programs:
• Green Energy Summer Training Program
• Advanced Innovative Talents Frontier Technology (AIT) Workshop
• STEM Summer School
• "Oriental Code·Tech Quest" Summer Camp
• Immersive Chinese Language and Culture Summer Program
• Arab Youth "A Smart Journey In China" Summer Program
Centered on technological innovation, academic exchange, and cultural understanding, these programs reflect ECUST's commitment to cultivating globally minded talents through interdisciplinary learning.

The ceremony also featured a flag presentation session for the six summer camp programs. Student representatives from each camp received their camp flags in turn, symbolizing the official launch of the 2026 International Summer Camp.

Over the coming weeks, these young scholars will begin a transformative learning journey that transcends borders and connects cultures. Together, they will explore the future of technology at ECUST, embodying the spirit of "See the World at ECUST, Embrace the Future in China."
