ECUST has taken significant steps in advancing its global engagement strategy through two major events in Shenzhen: the QS China Summit and the ISNS University Fair.

On 8 April, Mr. Xiaopeng Li, Dean of the College of International Education at ECUST, spoke as a panellist at the QS China Summit held at Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen. The session, titled “National Collaboration: How to Uplift Across China,” gathered higher education leaders to discuss joint research platforms, regional connectivity, and talent co-cultivation.

In his remarks, Dean Li highlighted how ECUST drawing on its distinctive strengths in science and engineering, pursues diverse and multifaceted collaborations with both domestic and international institutions. He emphasised that such partnerships aim to achieve highquality talent cultivation, advance international openness, and serve national strategic priorities.

During the same summit, Dean Li signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SEGi University of Malaysia on behalf of ECUST. The agreement establishes a general framework for academic and scientific cooperation, covering joint multidegree programs, faculty and student mobility, and bilateral seminars.
