On April 29, ECUST signed a cooperation agreement with SINOPEC Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (SEG) to jointly establish an International Student Internship and Practice Base. The base will provide ECUST students with training and internship opportunities, helping them enhance their professional skills and become well-rounded talents.

The leaders of presented institutions expressed congratulations and recognition for this collaboration. Prof. Du Wenli, Vice President of ECUST, stated that this collaboration marks a new starting point for the university and international enterprises to work together in talent cultivation. Mr. Zhang Xinming, General Manager of SEG, expressed his hope that more international students will join SINOPEC for internships and professional growth. Mr. Sha Yu, Director of SINOPEC Shanghai Engineering Company (SSEC), highly commended ECUST’s recent achievements in discipline development and talent cultivation. Mr. Abdullah AlHathloul, representative of Saudi Aramco, noted that this partnership will inject new momentum into talent exchange between China and Arab countries.

On the day of the signing ceremony, the Saudi Aramco delegation visited SINOPEC’s research center and Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical Company. Students had the opportunity to see firsthand the intelligent workflow of the petrochemical industry and deepen their understanding of real-world applications.
