On April 18th, ECUST International Students' Sports&Cultural Practice Base - co-hosted by ECUST and Shanghai Shenhua Football Club (SFC) was officially established at the Shenhua Football Training Base.

Shanghai Shenhua FC is a Chinese professional football club based in Shanghai, that competes in the top of Chinese Super League, the top tier of Chinese football. Shanghai Shenhua plays its home matches at the Shanghai Stadium, located within Xuhui District.

In his welcome speech, Mr. Gu Jiqing, Vice President of Shanghai Jiushi Group Co., Ltd and Chairman of SFC, hoped that more international students from ECUST can experience the excitement of football, explore the unique charm of Shanghai, and feel the allure of Chinese culture.

Mr. Shen Haitao, Vice President of ECUST, expressed in his speech that except for teaching and scientific research, sports is also a shining business card for ECUST. He looks forward to deepen cooperation between ECUST and SFC.

Shenhua Training Base Tour

After the launch ceremony, the ECUST international students’ football team and the youth training football team (U19) of SFC played a friendly match and exchanged team uniform.
