In a significant move to advance its internationalization agenda, East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) recently entered into a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE). This partnership marks the beginning of a new chapter in international educational collaboration for both institutions.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Wang Huifeng, Vice President of ECUST, and Mr. Xia Jianhui, Deputy Director of CSCSE. The signing ceremony was hosted by Mr. Li Xiaopeng, Dean of the University’s College of International Education.
Vice President Wang Huifeng extended a warm welcome to Deputy Director Xia Jianhui and his delegation. She highlighted ECUST’s distinctive disciplinary strengths, achievements in technological innovation and talent cultivation, as well as specific initiatives and outcomes in serving national development strategies. She expressed hope that both sides would strengthen all-round cooperation, innovate collaboration mechanisms, and jointly contribute ECUST’s strength to China’s high-level opening-up in education.
Deputy Director-General Xia Jianhui provided a comprehensive overview of CSCSE’s efforts in enhancing service capabilities for the internationalization of universities and building the “Study in China” brand. He proposed leveraging this opportunity to continuously expand the breadth and depth of cooperation with ECUST, thereby improving the overall effectiveness of the services for international scholars and students.
Also present at the meeting and signing ceremony were Ms. Yu Haiying, Director of the International Cooperation Department of CSCSE, and Mr. Zhan Wangcheng, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at ECUST.
