During the winter break, two of our Russian international students took on a special mission. As "ECUST Student Ambassadors," they returned to their hometowns—visiting Secondary School No. 54 in Chelyabinsk, the School of Ermekeevo, and the Secondary School No. 1 in Belebey—to share their life in Shanghai with younger students.
Real Stories, Real Shanghai
Instead of following a formal script, our ambassadors sat down for heart-to-heart talks with school students. They shared the "real" ECUST experience: the excitement of living in vibrant Shanghai, and the warm, supportive community that has become their second home. From navigating academic challenges to discovering the best local spots in the city, their stories brought the ECUST campus life to life.

Building a Bridge to the Future
A major highlight of their visit was introducing the Joint Multi-Degree (JMD) Programme. Our ambassadors acted as a personal "information bridge," breaking down the curriculum, global career prospects, and the application process in a way that was easy to understand.

Planting Seeds for Tomorrow
Perfectly timed with the 2026–2027 China-Russia Years of Education, this project highlights our international students as powerful storytellers of friendship. For ECUST, these exchanges go beyond recruitment—they are a commitment to fostering genuine friendship and mutual understanding across borders.

We are so proud of our ambassadors for helping the younger students find their way to Shanghai. We can’t wait to see these seeds of friendship grow in the years to come!
