To broaden professional horizons and integrate theory with practice, ECUST recently organized an immersive study tour to the Wuzhen World Internet Science and Technology Museum and Hangzhou Unitree Robotics. This visit allowed students to step out of the classroom, experience cutting-edge technologies firsthand, and witness the innovative prowess of digital technology and intelligent robotics.

First Stop: Wuzhen World Internet Science and Technology Museum

The first destination was the Wuzhen World Internet Science and Technology Museum, the world's first large-scale museum devoted exclusively to the Internet. The museum systematically presents the Internet's complete history and showcases the transformation of digital industries and smart living. Students gained in-depth insights into technological milestones and industry trajectories through docents' explanations. Furthermore, the museum's interactive exhibits and engaging technology games provided an immersive environment, allowing students to consolidate their professional knowledge and spark a deeper curiosity for digital information technology.

Second Stop: Hangzhou Unitree Robotics

In the afternoon, the group traveled to Hangzhou Unitree Robotics, where they observed cutting-edge achievements in artificial intelligence robot research, development, and application. The company's technical staff staged spectacular demonstrations, including synchronized robot dances, thrilling robot boxing matches, and multi-scenario displays of versatile robotic dogs. These performances highlighted the high-precision control and intelligent capabilities of quadruped robots. The showcase left a strong impression, giving students a firsthand appreciation of the frontier level of China's AI and high-end intelligent manufacturing sectors, as well as technology's powerful role in industrial development.

Aligned with ECUST's academic focus, this tour bridged the gap between classroom knowledge and the latest industry trends. It clarified the Internet industry's development context and provided direct exposure to real-world AI and robotics applications. Moving forward, ECUST will continue organizing diverse corporate visits and building collaborative education platforms. By supporting students in aligning academic training with industry needs, the university aims to cultivate high-quality, application-oriented talents equipped with both theoretical grounding and innovative practical abilities.
